Thinner Client

The Thinner Client is a single-board NTSC video generator and VT100 terminal emulator.  Designed to to be fabricated entirely from materials available in a Fab Lab, this device enables anyone with access to a commodity NTSC television, scrap PS/2 keyboard, and network-connected device with a serial port (such as a cheap mobile phone) to get online to check email and navigate the Internet.

Additionally, the video generation is accomplished nearly entirely using hardware peripherals of the STM32 microcontroller, enabling developers to easily develop graphical applications on this extremely inexpensive computing platform.  Source code and design files can be downloaded from my Github.

This work was displayed at the FAB6 conference hosted by Fablab Amsterdam.
