SOLID 2015

As assistant chair to SOLID 2015 (produced by O'Reilly Media), I worked closely with Jon Bruner and Joi Ito to create, curate, and host an event focused on showcasing and discussing technology in the physical world.

The event was attended by approximately 2000 people and featured talks, workshops, and exhibits on a variety of topics including (but not limited to!)  the challenges of small-batch hardware manufacturing, governance for the internet of things, synthetic biology, and rally car racing in Kenya.

Additionally, the exhibition hall featured a first-of-its-kind Pop-Up Factory, where attendees could witness the full production cycle of a connected wearable device used for socially networking at the conference.

A selection of talks from Solid 2015 can be found in the gallery on this page, and more content can be found on O'Reilly's YouTube channel.
