LUZ E IMAGINACIÓN

Designed in collaboration with Edwina Portocarrero and commissioned by Cocolab as part of the "Luz e Imaginación" exhibit at Museo de la Ciudad in Mexico City in late 2016.

"Instalación que representa el origen lacustre de la Ciudad de México y la estrecha relación con el agua que tenía la cultura azteca.  La simbología prehispánica y las alusiones a Tláloc se manifiestan a partir de los colores, materiales y formas, evocando un pasado cuyo rastro aún persiste en la ciudad."

"Installation that represents the lacustrine origin of Mexico City and the close relation with the water held by the Aztec culture. Prehispanic symbology and allusions to Tlaloc are manifested by colors, materials and forms, evoking a past whose remains still persist in the city."
