ANDAMIO

Andamio is an installation consisting of two scaffold structures which serve as skeletons for woven strands of colorful PVC cord and electroluminescent wire. Hidden sensors and wireless connectivity allow lighting effects to occur as a result of social activity on, around, and between the structures.

This piece was created as part of Edwina Portocarrero's Networked Playscapes project; a series of three installations seeking to understand and augment ludic interactions across different spaces in Mexico City.
